I first met Lucas at Elite Martial Arts, where I had the opportunity to spar with him on multiple occasions. I didn’t really know who he was at the time but I jumped at the chance to spar with him because of his fierce power, speed and exceptional technique in wing chun. Eventually I learned his name (because at first he was just the wing chun guy or IP man lol) and we had a conversation and became friends. After that I began taking his wing chun classes where I learned a lot and improved on my own techniques drastically. It was great to expand my martial arts prowess outside of EMA so I enjoy it a lot and look forward to it, and recently he became my personal trainer. Which is funny because I was always against having one because it seemed like a scam to me and very expensive, but working with Lucas I’ve been making improvements at a rapid consecutive pace. It also helps that he is a an amazing trainer he is always pushing me to go beyond my limits PLUS ULTRA!! Lol he is also very flexible as far as scheduling. I am actually guilty of making appointments with him and missing them or showing up late and he still works with me around all of that. He even helped me with my bad eating habits and dieting. Proteins, carbs, macros, micros, and etc. All that stuff is not my forte so I go to Lucas for that and he breaks it down in ways I can understand so I don’t have to be stressing about everything I eat. He also has very reasonable prices when it comes to training you as well. It’s very convenient not having to break the bank to get in shape, and Lucas provides that. You can tell in everything he does that he has your best interest in mind and is strictly focused on making you the best version of yourself. Even if you are having a bad day or not doing well he compromises to those needs as well. I can even say that I made a great friend and martial arts partner in Lucas. "Well what can I say. First Thank you Lucas for helping me change my life for the better. I started my journey training with Lucas a year ago. I went to him seeking advice and training to assist in post-recovery from double knee surgery. I had gone through the list of physical therapists after my surgeries. I found that the therapists (my own conclusion) were only interested in helping me learn to walk and do minor skills; for which I was happy. I mean after double surgery, who wouldn't be happy to just walk again. I had asked specifically for therapy to regain some level of my active sports life and for multiple reasons I was continually blown off and told no. Anyway after explaining my situation to Lucas, he immediately said what I need is strength & mobility training and he began to explain his process. I will admit my embarrassment and frustration to not being able to do the most basic of stretches and movements. Lucas took his time with me, as we started re-teaching my muscles to move. At first, even the simple things like bending over to pick up a piece of paper or anything that had fallen to the ground hurt and caused excruciating pain; a toddler had better coordination & mobility than me. I was a broken turtle flipped over "help I can't get up." We started with his "magic box", just trying to sit and touch and within 5 months I successfully mastered sitting and standing up unassisted. Next we progressed and soon I was able to squat without the aid of the box. Thus my journey was on the right path and I knew I had made the correct decision to train with Lucas and recover my mobility and strength. Next, we started rehabilitating my knees (yeah it hurt at first) and I slowly learned how to flex my knees correctly and do 90/90's, combat stretches and yes squats. It still takes me a few seconds to get my knees to cooperate but it has improved. One day, I surprised both of us at the end of our session when I stood up rather quickly without assistance; oh my what a surprise that was.
Next, I initiated discussion of proper weight loss/management. I explained my multiple issues and unsuccessful trials from the "other dietary professionals". He was able to create a plan that has worked for me and incorporated strength training into my program. Lucas accompanied me on my grocery shopping and explained based on my issues what was healthy to eat and what exactly "1 serving" meant. Honestly, someone telling you to eat 1 serving and not explaining it so I could see it in my mind wasn't working. Happily after a very successful year with Lucas/AMP I have lost weight, improved my mobility and gained a ton of strength (#160/#110). I can see my goals in sight and there is light at the end of my tunnel. I think it's just his Jedi mind tricks. You know when he adds weight to the bars and doesn't tell you, or asks "how's it feel, where's it hurt?"

The equipment you need depends on your fitness goals. For basic strength training, a set of dumbbells, resistance bands, and a yoga mat will suffice. However, I can also create bodyweight-only programs if you don't have access to equipment. We'll discuss your set up at your initial consultation and make sure your program matches your available tools.
